Giclée print / Climate Change #2

I only sell unframed prints. This has everything to do with transport. A print without a frame is safer and more secure to ship than one with. Especially when it concerns a frame with glass...

I pack the drawings in sturdy cardboard envelopes. They are custom-made and spacious enough. This way, my prints are sent as a package via the Belgian Post, both nationally and internationally. I use their shipping rates, including a tracking code.

Realize that you are buying from the artist themselves. I appreciate that enormously. But also know that I am not a 24/7 e-order company ;-) Ordered today is not necessarily shipped tomorrow, but we are equipped to ship everything quickly and correctly. We will also keep you updated.

A giclée is a high-quality art reproduction used in museums, among other places, for reproducing watercolors, gouaches, or pencil drawings in limited quantities. It is the modern equivalent of what lithographs used to be used for, so to speak.

Giclée comes from the French verb gicler , which means to spray or atomize. Fine jets of ink atomize multiple (10 to 12 basic colors, sometimes even 16). This creates enormous color depth. Only archival-quality pigment inks are used for printing, ensuring a color guarantee of at least 100 years. The prints therefore remain beautiful without fading...

My giclées are printed exclusively on high-quality acid-free art paper. They are limited per print.

I deliver them handwritten, numbered, and signed. Naturally, they come with a certificate of authenticity.

In each case, it concerns original design drawings that I made for and about my automata. For each automaton, I select the most narrative one and have them printed in limited editions.
