Imagine: being served by a real king or queen and being spoiled with the most delicious Brussels waffles – freshly baked on the spot! Decorated with the Belgian colors, whipped cream, and/or powdered sugar – at least, if you handle the right mechanical levers.
That is exactly what my latest installation does: the King and Queen of Belgian Waffles. They had their world premiere—with great success—in the majestic courtyard of 'le Château de Lunéville' in France (July 2026).
As a member of the audience, you receive a wooden token. Using five sturdy mechanical levers, you choose how sweet, colored, and/or decorated you want your waffle. You puzzle the token into the designated slot, slide it away, and the king or queen starts preparing your waffle fully automatically. They present it with royal flair. Enjoy the many mechanical details, winks, and jokes. Bon appétit!

WORLD PREMIERE with a king and queen
in a real castle
Television came by for a report in my Antwerp studio following the premiere of 'The King & Queen of Belgian Waffles'. That world premiere took place in early July 1926 at 'le Château de Lunéville', northern France. A beautiful place to get started...

NO FOOD TRUCK!!!
But art with FRESH BRUSSELS WAFFLES!
Let's be clear, this is NOT a food truck! It is an artistic installation, but one that delivers fresh waffles: fresh Brussels waffles!
We make the batter for our waffles on-site using fresh ingredients. I personally learned the recipe (and the tricks of the trade) from a top chef with a Guillaume mention! Enjoy!
Brussels waffles are – and it is not just my personal preference – the very best of Belgian waffles: deliciously crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and light and airy. Without too much sugar.
