To be honest? I prefer communicating by letter, handwritten, with a fountain pen. It can also be artisan handmade paper, a homemade drawing, or a beautiful postcard, as long as it is in a suitable envelope with local stamps.
You are guaranteed to get a letter back (eventually)!
