Chicken on Monday

This was one of my very first automata and – let’s be honest – when it goes on tour or is on display, it is by far the most popular machine.

It is called 'Chicken on Monday' because Monday is a 'working day'. And work it certainly does...

I have had to modify this automaton or replace axles a few times already because they were so worn out from the intense use. And the mechanical storytelling continues to work. Especially on the funny bone.
